Actress Margaret O'Mahoney dies
Margaret O'Mahoney, an actress for thirty years beneath the title Margaret Area as well as the mother of actress Sally Area, died Sunday, November. 6, at her home in Malibu after fighting cancer for six years. She was 89.Born Margaret Morlan in Houston, Texas, she gone after Pasadena, Calif., throughout World war ii. She's discovered having a talent scout in the pub corner and hang under contract by Vital Pictures. The actress began just like a student of Charles Laughton, turning up such films as Cecil B. DeMille's "Samson and Delilah" and John Farrow's "The Big Clock" before playing charge in Edgar Ulmer cult classic "The Man From Planet X."Through the 19 fifties and '60s she put together greater than 70 television credits, turning up in shows including "Perry Mason," "The Twilight Zone" and "The Lone Ranger."In 1942 she married Richard Dryden Area, an Military officer. She was divorced in 1950 and married actor-stuntman Jock Mahoney. She put within the towel acting in their mid-30s to give consideration to family and lastly aided raise her grandchildren.Furthermore to Sally Area, O'Mahoney is managed to get by daughter Princess, a preliminary assistant director and production manager, and boy Richard seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
