Gugino put in 'Animals' cast

Casting for USA Network miniseries "Political Animals" is ramping up.With Sigourney Weaver formally on top in the call sheet, Carla Gugino might be the most recent to board the Greg Berlanti project.Gugino may have newspaper reporter Susan Berg, a journalist which has it looking for Weaver's character -- a classic first lady and current secretary of condition. Also co-starring are "Lone Star" alum James Wolk as Weaver's boy and her chief of staff, and Brittany Ishibashi as Wolk's girlfriend.The six-episode small, searching for a summer season premiere, originates from Warner Horizon Television. Professional producers are Berlanti and Laurence Mark.
